MATAR MAKES HISTORY....AGAIN!!

Swimmer MatarIFA Ngor pupil Matar Samb has again made Senegal swimming history.
The 18 year old has broken the National Senegal 100 Metre Freestyle record, a fortnight after
the previous record had been set.

The nation had waited 20 years to see Mohamed Diop's seemingly unbeatable time beaten just two weeks ago
by Abdou Khadre Mbaye Niane in a time of 53.88 seconds.

However Matar was undaunted by the task ahead and cruised to a record setting 53.54 seconds in the national event, pipping Niane
by 200ths of a second.

IFA and it's sponsors are actively seeking a scholarship for this talented young swimmer so he can compete in the London Olympics in 2012.
He has already competed in the African Games and with his undeniable talent deserves all the assistance he can receive.

IFA Founder Jules Katz said " Matar is a one off. His natural ability in the swimming pool is beyond doubt and we are delighted to have him as a pupil at IFA Ngor. Matar is a quiet hard working student who prior to him enrolling could barely read nor write. Over the past year or two he has excelled in the classroom as well as finding time to break national swimming records! We wish him and all our students the greatest success over the following years and we are sure that with hard work and dedication, greatness can and will be achieved by many in all walks of life."
